Provenir Cuisine & Cellar at Paihia Beach Resort & Spa debut their new Head Chef

Provenir Cuisine & Cellar is excited to announce the appointment of a new Head Chef, Pierre-Henri Bourguignon, to the team.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have Pierre-Henri Bourguignon taking up the position of Head Chef at Provenir, leading the team of talented chefs in the kitchen," says Lyndsey Morrison, general manager of Paihia Beach Resort & Spa.

Provenir Cuisine & Cellar has gained itself an excellent reputation for fresh, quality food delivered in a cosy setting, beside the resort’s pool.

Pierre brings with him a variety of experience, from both his home country of France and locally around New Zealand. Pierre's past positions include Second Chef at renowned Relais & Chateaux restaurant "Castel Clara", working under award-winning Head Chef Christophe Hardouin; Sous Chef in popular Paris brasserie "Magenta"; and locally at the former "French Café" in Taupo.

"Pierre has been Sous Chef with us here at Provenir for over a year and is now excited to be taking over the reigns from Marcus Berndt who will be leaving Provenir to take on new challenges himself," adds Lyndsey.

Pierre looks forward to working closely with their suppliers in order to create fresh new dishes, keeping Provenir very much at the forefront of culinary innovation.
